Welcome back to the new, new format where today we’re talking about the supernatural/psychological horror book The Low, Low Woods. From writer Carmen Maria Machado, illustrator Dani, colorist Tamra Bonvillan, and letterer Steve Wands, two teenage girls set out to solve the mysteries of their town, Shudder-to-Think. Along the way they run into their fair share of the supernatural, but the scariest things in town are the people. Published by Hill House Comics, it’s a bleak look at the damage done by cruelty and indifference and the personal paths to healing.
